Henry’s

I have been in search of the best burger, in my opinion, in Wilmington. Henry’s has knocked it out of the box. This is by far the best burger in this town. I also loved the Pot Roast and the wedge salad was amazing with their homemade blue cheese dressing. I’m loving everything about Henry’s. I might add that if you’ve never been to Henry’s, you should go there. It’s a beautiful restaurant, cloth napkins, great service (Catherine was a wonderful server. Very personable and extremely pleasant).

We visited this place several times and they have a really nice atmosphere. We love the wait staff and their personalities! The wing are amazing! The place is clean! We have a really good time.

I ordered from here through DoorDash for pick-up. DoorDash made a mistake, and the order was never actually sent to the restaurant. My dad arrived to pick it up, and they obviously didn’t have it because they didn’t get the order. They were already getting ready to close for the night, but they put the order in for him. We said they didn’t need to, but they insisted. The food was fantastic. I can’t wait to dine there in person. I HIGHLY recommend the French onion soup, and that’s something I’m picky about. It also has so much cheese! 🩵 Many other places around here, it would have been an $11 bowl of soup and not nearly as good. I will actually go back on my own, just for more soup. (And if any customers were wondering, yes, we did leave a good tip because they were so wonderful about making the food even though the error was not on them at all). I highly recommend Henry’s. I don’t think my dad even chewed his Reuben. He inhaled it… And he’s from NY, so that says something.

First visit to Henry’s, but not our last. We walked in and were seated quickly and we were provided great service by our friendly and personable server, Skyler. It was difficult to decide what to order; everything sounded amazing. Finally, we chose the Wilmingtonian Burger – A half-pound fresh beef patty served on a toasted brioche bun with house-made pimento cheese, house-made pickles, mayo, fried green tomato, applewood smoked bacon, leaf lettuce and red onion. It was amazing! We’ll definitely return to try the Shrimp & Grits and Salmon Salad which looked delicious!

Love coming here. Even though I know I don’t eat crab; I seem to love the crab dip for two which I share with my wife!! Excellent service also. We tried the seafood plater and it didn’t disappoint at all!!

If you happen to be hungry the next time you are in Wilmington, NC, we recommend that you check out Henry’s American Restaurant! Located off the beaten path it offers great atmosphere, impeccable service and delicious food! Their wine list is amazing. Tell them you want Reese to wait on you!!

Highly recommend Henry’s for lunch or dinner, the food is soo good. Makena made the evening even better with such a pleasant attitude and keeping our drinks fresh and the food was brought out quickly after ordering. Even the manager checked on us to ensure our experience was exceptional. Can’t say enough about Henry’s.

Solid, long time restaurant in Wilmington. Never disappointed. The food is great (get the crab dip). The service is excellent. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Always a great place to take visitors. Definitely not the touristy kind of place.

First time I have been here. The food was great a very reasonably priced. The service was great as well. I had the clamp chowder and the pesto shrimp pasta, it was delicious. The drinks were delicious, my Manhattan was served in a chilled glass which was a great touch.

Delicious food that was well executed. There wasn’t any accoutrements that were excessive; the cooking is just right, letting the ingredients speak for themselves. Service was attentive, restaurant is nicely appointed, will definitely go back again.
